"We have been raising beef since 1924. In 1995, we began raising bison to utilize the native prairie grasses in a more natural and sustainable way. We offer a complete line of frozen USDA natural grass fed, grass finished bison including steaks, roasts, ground, and sausages. Our sausages are 100% bison and contain no corn, soy, dairy, preservatives or pork. Our family is committed to sustainably raising livestock and providing the consumer with high quality locally produced and marketed products."
Glen, Jill, and son Carl Klawon run this third generation family farm which began in 1924. The farm was established when Alma and Carl Klawonn left Stanton County, Nebraska and headed west to settle south of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, where they purchased the land from the original homesteaders. They raised dry-land wheat, corn, hay, beef and dairy cows, pigs, chickens and also sold cream, milk, and eggs as cash crops. The farm was passed down generation to generation and in 1989, Glen took over the operation of the ranch where he continued with wheat, hay and beef cattle. In 1995 Glen added bison and him and his wife Jill began building the bison beef business. High Point bison are free-range and 100% grass-fed their entire lives. This is the key to the sweet delicious taste you will experience when eating High Point Bison meats. Less than 4% of bison in the U.S. is 100% grass-fed so we at Locavore Delivery feel very excited to be able to offer 100% grass-fed bison from High Point!
